Tom O’Rourke

Managing Director, Principal Consultant

Tom has been an enterprise Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) technology leader for 30 years, working within the enterprise building and managing critical I&O systems, and as a head of product for enterprise software providers that serve the I&O market.

Prior to founding Axistra Group, Tom worked at Redwood Software and Tidal Software leading the product management team for Tidal Automation, an award-winning enterprise workload automation solution used by customers to orchestrate their critical processes. Tom worked closely with customers to help them get more from their use of automation, assisting them with technical, organization, and business obstacles to increasing the impact of automation.

Tom's prior I&O technology experience has spanned multiple industries, including secure collaboration, data center infrastructure, financial services, public health and others. He holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from Polytechnic University (now New York University Tandon School of Engineering.

Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations Strategies shares our ideas about how I&O leaders can focus on what’s important to improve business outcomes.

Tom also co-hosts the Enterprise Automation Excellence podcast with Dan Twing of Enterprise Management Associates, discussing how automation leaders can get more out of their technology investments.
